Submission Guidelines
This blog invites writers and historians of all disciplines to contribute their own thoughts on one of history’s most complex and complicated figures. Posts here will both praise and criticize Jefferson as the goal is to present a more complete portrait of the man. I am looking to establish long-term relationships with historians who conduct excellent research. Articles of varied length and photo essays are welcome. All submissions must focus on the life and/or legacy of Thomas Jefferson.
Writers will receive an e-mail acknowledgment when their submission has been received. The review process takes one week. Once the process is complete, I will contact the author to report the outcome. If your writing is accepted for publication, you will be asked to respond to an email stating that the article is your own work and you are allowing The Jefferson Project to post it.
I will then post the piece and advertise it here on the TNH blog. I will also encourage the author to promote the piece on their end in order to guarantee maximized traffic.
